Bracknell Town Centre Mission

A visible and public Christian presence in Bracknell town centre.

Bracknell Town Centre

We exist to promote a visible and public Christian presence in Bracknell town centre, to bring local churches together, and to reach out to new residents and all who live and work in Bracknell. Our aim is to bring us all one step closer together and one step closer to God.

Our Chaplain visits shops, Lexicon employees and those working independently in our town. We connect with the police, security staff, Bracknell and Wokingham College and those providing local services.

The Town Centre Mission provides a listening ear and stands alongside people to help them see the value in their work and lives. The Chaplain signposts people to local community projects, churches and sources of support.

Our Town Centre Chaplains

Today the day-to-day work of the Mission is carried out by our Town Centre Chaplains – a regular and friendly presence among the shops, businesses and services of Bracknell. The wider Town Centre Mission continues to bring local churches together, but it is our chaplains you are most likely to meet out and about in the town.

This chaplaincy has grown out of many years of Christian presence in the town centre. What began as pioneer ministry has, over time, developed into a chaplaincy – simply walking alongside people where they work and live, offering time, encouragement and a listening ear.

The Mission organises events in the town to bring a Christian presence on special occasions – such as carol singing at Christmas and our Walk of Witness on Good Friday – and offers invitations to the churches and other faiths across our town to engage with each other.
