Our church community relies on each other to support most activities, to make it possible for services to take place, to help maintain Holy Trinity and Langley Hall, and to keep the church grounds in good condition.
New supporters are always welcome! Our groups are open to all, and you don't have to be a regular at our Sunday services to take part. You can serve the Lord through your actions as well as through your worship.
Our monthly Maintenance Morning takes place on the first Saturday of each month from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon. We work together on a variety of maintenance tasks in the church, the hall and the surrounding outdoor areas, with time for refreshments and a chat.
These groups are a great way to meet people who live locally, to build friendships and feel part of a community. In some cases they result in light exercise or combat loneliness as well.
- Children's Church group – helping children with craft activities on Sunday mornings at Holy Trinity.
- The choir – join our group of hymn singers, who meet weekly for rehearsals and sing every Sunday.
- Readers – we have short Bible readings at each service which are read by the congregation.
- Welcomers – welcoming visitors to each service, giving out service books and helping tidy up afterwards.
- Donations collectors and audio system operators.
- Refreshments servers – after the main Sunday service we regularly serve drinks and cake.
- Outdoor maintenance group – litter picking, cutting back shrubs and weeding on our regular maintenance days.
- Indoor maintenance group – helping with minor repairs and cleaning the brass.
- Holy Dusters – helping to keep the church clean every week.
People joining most of these activities take part in a rota, and are asked to be available regularly, about once a month, usually working as part of a team. As well as these year-round activities, we also look for help with our summer holiday activities and other seasonal work.
If you are interested in joining one of these groups please contact the Parish Office for more information on 07359 904262 or email the Parish Office.
