Volunteering
Volunteers
Our parish relies on volunteers to support most church activities, to make it possible for services to take place, to help maintain Holy Trinity and Langley Hall, and keep the church yard and area around Langley Hall in good condition.
New volunteers are always welcome! Here are some of the ways in which you can help:
- Children’s Church – giving practical support such as helping children with craft activities
- The choir
- Maintenance of outside areas – we have a regular maintenance day and people can help in various ways, including litter picking, cutting back shrubs and weeding,
- Maintenance of inside areas – helping with minor repairs and cleaning the brass
- Holy Dusters – helping to keep the church clean every week. We would welcome more people to join the team.
- Welcomers – it is important to have people to be ready to welcome people to each service, give out service books and to help tidy up afterwards
- Refreshments after the main Sunday service. We hope to restart coffee after the 9.30 service, and would welcome more volunteers to help with this.
Volunteers for most of these activities join a rota, and are asked to be available regularly, about once a month. Usually, they work as part of a team, with at least one other person.
